As one of the eastern states most well recognised auctioneers John has covered nearly every sector of property including high-end residential, commercial office buildings, broadacre farms, land subdivisions and multi-storey apartment buildings in over 21 years of up-front auctioneering.

He has submitted to auction over 22,000 properties with an accumulative value of over $7 billion dollars and has held several auction sales records in three states and territories.

His latest major sale this year was the Greenfields site at the Macgregor Estate in the ACT that netted in excess of $43million dollars for the land development agency of the act govt.

John learnt the skills of auctioneering the old fashioned way - standing on a box in front of willing crowds at clearing sales and hanging about the saleyards observing the 'craft of the call'

Ever since becoming the chief auctioneer for Laing & Simmons corporation in 1985 & eventually heading the group as managing director in 1997 John has held several senior management positions at L J Hooker Auctions, CRT / Ruralco and remains one of the most sought after professional auctioneers in Sydney.

John has been a regular feature on national television shows such as 'Hot Property' , 'Auction Squad' & 'Backyard Blitz' with a 100% auction success rate live on TV
